Alright.. alright.. my title is lame! But after an afternoon of googling over trains at the train show, this is just what this girl wanted, comfort food extreme. Top it off with a flight of German beers, a little poutine and a pretzel and I was in heaven.
Let me start by explaining from the beginning. I love food, I also have some commitment issues and me trying to decide what to order at a new restaurant is stressful! What if I don't like it, what if the guy next to me orders something that looks better then what I get... Oh, the horror of it all! This is the sort of thing that keeps me awake at night. With all of my sleepless nights, I think I have come up with an exceptional idea. My solution to this dilemma is simple, I think every restaurant should have the "Tina Platter". This would be a small portion of all the specialty dishes of the restaurant put on one fabulous plate and served to all of us, adventurous, wary, prudent, noncommittal, (not to mention) annoying folks. With that being said, of all the restaurants I've been to, this one was the closest to the ideal "Tina Platter". So for that, I was extremely happy!
Now back to the scrumptious deliciousness that was served to me today. Everything that was ordered was served hot and with a smile, The Schnitzel was crunchy and tasty, the Spätzle was the most flavorful I have ever had. Now for the goulash... wow, it was melt in your mouth freakin yumminess. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and the authenticity of the restaurant was made to feel more real with the accents of those behind the bar. I couldn't help but to smile.
So...on a cold winter day, If you are in the mood to, not only, warm your tummy but also your soul, you will need to try Das Schnitzel Haus in Parma, OH
